Letterfrack is situated 1 hour from Galway city. It is beneath the Diamond Mountain, next door to the Connemara National Park and leads into the Renvyle Peninsula.
Kylemore Abbey is 5 minutes down the road, Scuba Dive West is a short drive away and there are numerous unspoilt beaches and lakes nearby. The villages of Tully, and Tully Cross, are a 5-10 minute drive away, Leenane is 15 minutes and the town of Clifden is 20 minutes away by car giving many options for places to stay and places to visit.
There is a variety of accommodation available from self- catering cottages to B&Bs, hotels and hostels.
“The Aras Ghuaire” self catering apartments are popular with participants and their families. They have a number of apartments of various sizes and are located directly across the street from the venue of the Summer School. Early booking is recommended.
